I actually snapped this one on a hazy afternoon in Nags Head FROM MY CELL PHONE! What a total surprise. Sometimes I can set out on a regular day without my camera and without a thought of taking pictures, then something inspires me and the only thing I have is my cell phone, and this is one of those occasions.






In fact, another great pic I got from my phone happened over the summer at King's Dominion. I didn't take a camera in because I was traveling "light", but Seth and I were about to ride the Intimidator 305 and I just had to snap this photo of it.

Postcard

I am very lucky to live in a pretty place where capturing great pictures is as easy as walking the dog some days. I snapped this pic in August of 2007 with my pocket camera while out for a walk, just crouched down behind the zinnias on a whim....and this has been the most popular picture I ever took. The Edgecombe County Arts Council has used it numerous times in ads to promote its events, and it is featured on a postcard that is available through the local Chamber of Commerce. It finally started popping up all over the place without permission, so I had to copyright it!
